Marshmallow root should be taken with at least 250ml (8oz) of liquid. Orally administered drugs should be taken 1 hour before use or several hours after, as marshmallow root may slow absorption.

THE TISANES
To honor the aesthetic tranquility of one’s self-care ritual and to fully draw out the essence, vitamins, enzymes, minerals, and aromatic volatile oils that offer cell-rejuvenating, anti-inflammatory, and beautifying properties, we recommend a longer steeping time than that which is typically experienced in western herbalism.

THERAPEUTIC SERVING SIZE (First 30 Days)
• 2-3 tsp. of herbs to 3-4 cups of boiled water

MAINTENANCE SERVING SIZE
• ½ - 1 tsp. of herbs to 1 cup of boiled water

DECOCT
• Boil fresh spring water on the stove
• Turn down the flame to the lowest flame/ simmer setting
• Place serving of herbs into saucepan containing boiled water
• Cover the saucepan
• Simmer for 30-45 minutes, do not boil
• Strain, discard the herbs, and enjoy

INFUSE
• Boil fresh spring water on the stove
• Remove from heat, set aside 1 minute
• Pour hot water over serving of herbs
• Steep covered for 45-60 minutes or overnight
• Strain, discard the herbs, and enjoy
