Belinda Kǒkóèkà Bassey Ephraim is founder of kokoberna.com - an integrative beauty and luxury wellness e-commerce startup, meditator, speaker, and a certified nutrition coach and Reiki practitioner/teacher.
A former Wall Street corporate mergers & acquisitions banker, Ephraim has been a meditator for over fourteen years. Her formal meditation training has been under the guidance of extraordinarily bright, heart-centered teachers in a rich school of secular meditation, mindfulness, and Buddhist meditation. Her curious nature gives her the unique ability to intelligently connect disparate disciplines to create a thriving meditation practice that has withstood the test of time. Her learnings sharing meditation comes from her own life experience where meditation not only helped her physically heal but catapulted her into living a life filled with meaning, purpose, compassion, optimal health, joy, and awakening.
In fact, meditation is her favorite thing because it is the one thing that gives meaning to all the other things she loves. Sharing this with those who can integrate what they learn is a joy.

A seated meditation is like returning home. To give full attention to and care for our self. Like the peaceful image of the Buddha on the altar, we too can radiate peace and stability. We sit upright with dignity and return to our breathing. We bring our full attention to what is within and around us. We let our mind become spacious and our heart soft and kind. We are with whatever is there without being carried away by it. Let it come, let it stay, then let it go. No need to push, to oppress, or to pretend our thoughts are not there. We are free to be still and calm despite the storms that might arise in us.
