A seasoned Wall Street corporate mergers & acquisitions banker and serial entrepreneur, Belinda Kǒkóèkà Bassey Ephraim is founder of kokoberna.com - an integrative beauty and luxury wellness e-commerce startup, meditator, speaker, Reiki master, and certified holistic health coach.
A meditator for over fourteen years, Ephraim's formal meditation training has been under the guidance of extraordinarily bright, heart-centered teachers in a rich school of secular meditation, mindfulness, and Buddhist meditation. Her curious nature gives her the unique ability to intelligently connect disparate disciplines to create a thriving meditation practice that has withstood the test of time.
Her learnings sharing meditation comes from her own life experience where meditation not only helped her heal but catapulted her into manifesting a life filled with meaning, purpose, compassion, optimal health, joy, and awakening.
In fact, meditation is her favorite thing because it is the one thing that gives meaning to all the other things she loves. Sharing this with those who are curious and can integrate what they learn is a joy.

Our meeting place has a natural marble floor and provides chairs.
We are invited to bring our own mats and cushions or benches if we want to sit on the floor.
We are asked to leave our street footwear outside the boutique.
If someone has environmental sensitivities, they will let the facilitator know and we will refrain from burning incense or scented candles.
Meditating in community is not a time to suffer, so comfort is important.

A seated meditation is like returning home. To give full attention to and care for our self. Like the peaceful image of the Buddha on the altar, we too can radiate peace and stability. We sit upright with dignity and return to our breathing. We bring our full attention to what is within and around us. We let our mind become spacious and our heart soft and kind. We are with whatever is there without being carried away by it. Let it come, let it stay, then let it go. No need to push, to oppress, or to pretend our thoughts are not there. We are free to be still and calm despite the storms that might arise in us.
